Reap as You Sow

Reap as You Sow

Reap as You Sow
Sow them gently,
not too deep.
This is life. Why
does your mind turn to landmines?

Nourish them,
in moderation.
A mist will do. Banish
thoughts of clouds of death.

Welcome
the reward found in
harvest.
Refusing to yield brings little of value or merit.

The prompt for NaPoWriMo 2017 on Day 22 of National for  Month/Global Poetry Writing Month is to write a georgic (a poem dealing with practical aspects of agriculture and rural affairs).
