Tonic for Fear

Tonic for Fear

Tonic for Fear

No flask holds the tonic
for the fear that would
eat away at our hearts,
minds and souls.

Distilled and shared,
the love, friendship
and tolerance that is
already there,

within our hearts,
minds and souls,
would allay those fears
and ease our burdens.

This is my first quadrille (poem of 44 words, any format) and my first response to a prompt from dVerse (Quadrille #37–Be Not Afraid), with the prompt word, fear.
