What of our children and the challenge
they face, this world we have graced
with such darkness? Will they follow our lead
and foster the hate that grows, or shed
this weight we’ve placed on their shoulders?
Will the timid rise to right these wrongs
before they, too, are the disadvantaged?
This is my response to Jane Dougherty’s A Month with Yeats: Day Sixteen (each day a new Yeats quote).
“Do you not hear me calling, white deer with no horns?”
Occasionally, we should remind ourselves of a quote referring to the I Ching that I read today in a blog by Kerfe, at Method Two Madness:
“Do not think at the moments when you see no light that there is no light at all.”
